VIP ROWING MAY / SEPTEMBER 2025

Rowing, Training and Q and A’s with GB Women’s and Men’s Paris 2024 Medallists

An afternoon of erg challenges, photo sessions, Q and A's and the chance to take to the water in a Quad with one GB Rower or in an eight with two GB Rowers is the unique opportunity that you can secure today.

The provisional line up of hosts for 2025 represent eight Paris 2024 boats, and hopefully medals to show from a successful summer, this line up fronts at least 20 others who are available to host any additional dates. You will have four on your day from the following.

  • GOLD MEDALLIST Georgie Brayshaw from the women’s quad,
  • SILVER MEDALLIST Rebecca Shorten from women’s four,
  • BRONZE MEDALLISTS Oli Wilkes and Freddie Davidson from men’s four,
  • GOLD MEDALLIST Imogen Grant from the double
  • BRONZE MEDALLISTS Hattie Taylor and Annie Campbell-Orde from the women’s eight,
  • GOLD MEDALLISTS Rory Gibbs and Jacob Dawson from men’s eight,
  • GOLD MEDALLIST Frankie Allen from the P3 mixed four.

It maybe worth making fellow partners, parents and rowers aware of the opportunity, as it will be more fun to be in a boat with a couple of friends. Each participant will be taking part in a couple of head to head challenges with the GB Squad, in the fun Beat the Medallist challenges.

Each day is for a maximum of 36 Participants split into two sessions, but whatever the final numbers, the ratio on the day will be one GB Rower to every three rowers on the water. A session on the 20th September has been set aside for corporate rowers as well as schools. If you wanted to be a superstar boss to make it an away day or a superstar parent and donate places to school or club junior section then you can purchase up to 27 slots for an exclusive session with the 11 GB Rowers..

THE BEAT THE MEDALLIST CHALLENGE

Before the Q and A the rowers will take to the water and do a 250 metre timed sprint. This unique challenge pits your boat against the attending GB Rowers who will be laying down a target time over 250 metres but don't worry your boat of three will have one of the GB Rowers to help you beat the time on your timed sprints as part of your 40 minutes on the water.

This experience is with two rowing buddies...so please ask around.

Using the GB Athletes annual Crowd Funding campaign (see below) your boat generates time bonuses to help beat the time set on the day by the GB Rowers as part of Beat the Medallist Challenge Series.

  • The GB Medallists will set a time on the day.
  • Your boat also gets to set times on the day as part of this experience day.
  • Your 'impossible' task is aided by accruing time bonuses through fundraising support from your friends and family.
  • Throughout the experience the chance to talk all things Paris with the athletes and if already a keen rower drain them for tips and advice. Additional guests are welcome to watch proceedings throughout the day and to attend the Q and A and photo session with the rowers.
