Early Career
Dani first got onto cycling the age of 15 when the British Cycling Team spotted her at school in Southampton. Dani came from a sport-loving family with her father being a former biathlete who competed in two winter Olympics.
Achievements
Dani is a three-time World Champion in the Women’s Team Pursuit, winning the title in 2011, 2012 and 2013 competing in the same team as Laura Trott. In London 2012 Olympics Dani won gold in the team pursuit setting a new World Record.
There was concern for Dani’s professional career when she was struck down with glandular fever in 2009 at the age of 19, but luckily she made a full recovery.
In October 2014 Dani decided to switch from track to road cycling and hasn’t looked back since. Dani is currently competes for Wiggle Honda and resides in Cardiff.
