THE EXPERIENCE
Whatever level you’ve played hockey at, this unique experience is for
you and your friends.
This unique hockey day is hosted by GB Hockey players who'll do some coaching and guide you through a bunch of challenges where you'll have the opportunity to take them on head-to-head in a ‘Beat the Medallist’ competition
Are you a secret striker and can find the top corners to score maximal points? Or can you reach speeds of 100kph when hitting the ball at goal? You will be competing in various challenges scoring points for yourself. Wherever you finish, you get a medal placed around your neck by a GB Hockey player and a photo signed by the athlete capturing that once in a lifetime moment.
The session culminates in an exclusive Q and A with the hosts medal winner to pick their brains about life as a professional athlete and what really goes on at the international level
Everyone goes home with exclusive event medals and signed memorabilia from the host athletes plus professional photos to give you an awesome social media timeline.
THE CHALLENGE
You are also aiming to beat the targets set on the day by the GB Hockey Player as part of Beat the Medallist:

The GB Olympian will set a points target and a maximum speed on the day.

You also get to set your totals on the day as you try and Beat The Medallist.

Your 'impossible' task can be aided by accruing time bonuses through fundraising (see below).
SCORING POINTS:

10 attempts at goal. Maximum points is 200. Scoring points are available as follows; 5, 10, 20
SPEED CHALLENGE:

Beat David Ames with a score of >130kph
-
Beat Shona McCallan with a score of > 110kph
-
You are aiming to beat the targets set by the GB Gold Medallist.

You can help your task by accruing speed bonuses through your fundraising, (not compulsory).

Fundraising through the GB Athletes Crowdfunding platform for your chosen good cause will reduce your entry fee by £1 for every £2
This not compulsory but it will be an awesome achievement if you choose to do this and the experience could be used to raise funds for clubs and sports tours.
Throughout the experience the chance to talk all things Olympic with the athletes and if already a keen baller drain them for tips and advice. Additional guests are welcome to watch proceedings throughout the day and to attend the Q and A and photo session with the Hockey players..
