After nine years of thrills and spills on the rapids of Lee Valley one of our gold medal winning Slalom Canoeists ETIENNE STOTT or JOE CLARKE will be your host for these uniquely curated events. This is the awesome thrill-seeking opportunity to go white water rafting down the Olympic Course at Lee Valley to see if you can beat your Industry rivals and the Beat The Medallist course record.
THE BEAT THE MEDALLIST CHALLENGE
This unique challenge pits your raft against the course record laid down in the spring.
You will have one of the GB Canoeists to help you beat the time on your timed sprints as part of your 75 minutes on the water.
FUNDRAISING FOR GLORY
Your raft generates time bonuses to help beat the time set on the day by your Industry rivals.
Also the the time set by the GB Canoeists as part of Beat the Medallist Challenge Series.
Your raft also gets to set a fast run time on the day as part of this experience day.
Your 'impossible' task is aided by accruing time bonuses through fundraising support from your friends and family.
This not compulsory but it will be an awesome achievement if you choose to do this.
The day starts with an insight from one of the GB Athletes on their medal success, you also get to pose for photos that are printed and signed for a unique souvenir. Then we had you over to your guides. After safety briefing and swimming practice throughout the afternoon you will have another 60 minutes of exhilarating rafting fun.
Other runs involve other aspects of rafting on rapid waters, leaving you with an experience that provides a great work out. Wherever you finish, you get a souvenir signed by an actual GB gold medallist and a photo signed by the athlete capturing that once in a lifetime moment.
The GB Medallist will be in touch pre-event to outline how you can get friends, colleagues and family to help generate more time bonuses if you wish to get them to support you and the good cause. As for the day itself, spectators are welcome and its open to rafters aged 12 years and above.
