SEPTEMBER 2024: THE HOMECOMING ACTIVITY DAYS
Unique activity and social team building events hosted by GB Athletes.
Three fully inclusive team building social events are being planned for September 2024, each following the same format, three different locations led by the host sport. Each company will have their own exclusive hospitality and network areas to make it a truly memorable away day with 25 non sporting and sporting activities.

Twenty five activations on the day, each come with the chance to win a medal presented on stage at the end of the day by an actual medallist

Whilst some of you will be taking part in FIVE challenges hosted by medal winning GB Athletes. Designed to fundraise for your chosen good cause.

The five hour event will see your group get to participate in TWENTY non sporting activities with the GB Athletes and fellow participants, details on request.

Throughout the afternoon your area will be visited by the GB Medallists to chat, pose for photos and sign Homecoming souvenirs

CORPORATE FAMILIAR TEAM BUILDING ACTVITIES
Homecoming is designed to be as fully inclusive as possible, providing the opportunity for your non sporty colleagues to win medals in over 20 team and individual activations throughout the afternoon.
Each activation gives you the chance to win medals, propel your company up the overall medals table and receive your medal on stage from a Paris 2024 medallist.
The activities are available all afternoon and you can drop in and out of them at your leisure, we will be making sure you do get the chance to grab a medal though.
YOUR OWN HOSPITALITY AREA / ATHLETE VISITS
Homecoming provides each company, with their own hospitality area which you can pimp up to your desire. This is to be your base for the afternoon and will be visited throughout the day in rotation by the host medallists. The chance to chat, pose for photos and get event merchandise signed by the Athletes. Each visit can be structured if you have any corporate needs. Your package comes with a Hospitality credit with the option to add. This does lend itself to unique client entertainment.
SME packages will be part of the Team Homecoming area with the additional networking opportunity that brings.
OPENING CEREMONY / MEDAL PRESENTATIONS
Stage is set for the introduction of your medal winning hosts and the chance to introduce you to the company teams taking part in Homecoming.
Throughout the latter part of the day there will be ongoing medal ceremonies to crown the champions of each activity. The top three receiving their medals from actual Olympic and Paralympic medallists, all captured by the event photographers.
The stage will be flanked by AV screens and utilising the existing screens in the arena to bring you updated medal tables.
REWARDS GENERATED BY THE FREE OF CHARGE SOCIAL IMPACT PARTNERSHIP WITH GB ATHLETES
There is the option to reduce the cost of Homecoming whilst creating a social impact with the GB Athletes.
BACKGROUND: The GB Athletes have since 2012 raised over £610K for good causes through the hosting of Athlete Experiences, good causes take places on GB Athlete Experience Days (entry fees) and risk free multiply them at auction. Despite this, the vast majority of Good causes want free places.
THE PROPOSAL: When donating to your chosen good causes give them the GB Athletes creating free places on our days for the good cause to sell through auctions, challenge listings or direct to supporters. Each place sold will generate greater PR for you and enhance your donated total, risk free to the good cause. There is no workload save for social media reactions, no additional cost and the most work a good cause has to do is cut and paste supplied materials. We will reduce the entry fee for Homecoming by £1 for every £4 allocated to the initiative and multiplied by good causes through auctions etc
